Experience the Reserve Edge

We begin with a ride through open terrain toward the southern farms that line the Chachuna Biosphere boundary. You'll see dryland farming practices, solar irrigation setups, and restored water mills before continuing to tree-covered paths and shallow riverbeds. The area supports vultures, bee-eaters, and many songbirds. Walks are short and flexible.

Vehicles & Comfort

Your driver uses a high-clearance car or 4x4 depending on season. These remote roads are unpaved but mostly smooth. Water, shade, and breaks are all arranged according to the weather and your pace. We also offer options for adding a homemade lunch stop or extended hike.

Timing & Price

The trip takes 5–6 hours depending on walking time and road access. Departures are flexible. Price starts at $180 per vehicle, including all guiding and stop coordination. Birdwatcher-focused upgrades and multi-day options available by request.

Discover Dryland Diversity

The Chachuna zone is one of Georgia’s least visited yet most ecologically fascinating regions. With dry hills, scattered trees, and centuries-old village routes, it offers both solitude and subtle richness. Let a local driver guide you through it—comfortably, safely, and on your own time.
